Supporting Traditional Tailoring

Tibetan tailors are now using their skills to train others and supply western needs.

In Tibet, tailors used to make prayer flags, costumes for dancers and traditional clothing.

Since 2009 Vista Project has initiated a tailoring workshop where young people learn tailoring skills which they are turning to the production of meditation cushions.

As well as learning the trade, profits from cushion sales worldwide provide an income for the trainees and capital to set up new projects on behalf of the Sershul community.
